Review of Seven Corners Trip Protection RoundTrip Basic Travel Insurance
Trip Protection RoundTrip Basic, a comprehensive trip insurance plan from Seven Corners Travel Insurance, provides excellent levels of coverage for not just medical issues, but also trip cancellation and incidental complexities like luggage delay for trips as long as 90 days.
Seven Corners Travel Insurance: What is Trip Protection RoundTrip Basic Travel Insurance?
The Trip Protection RoundTrip Basic is an all-encompassing travel policy, providing ways to protect your investment in an upcoming trip, ways to protect your health during it, and ways to protect your belongings throughout your travels. Whether you’re traveling alone, with your spouse, or with your entire family, Trip Protection RoundTrip Basic provides plenty of just-in-case benefits.
Trip cancellation coverage provides security for 100% of the trip cost, up to $30,000. Trip interruption also provides up to 100% of the trip cost if you must cut the trip short due to covered reason. Trip delay provides $200/day per traveler for meals and hotel costs up to the maximum of $600, while missed cruise/connection provides $250 up to a maximum of $500. Meanwhile, emergency medical expenses are covered up to $100,000 (including $750 for repair to a dental injury) and up to $250,000 in emergency medical evacuation or repatriation of remains.
Baggage protection for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property is set at $250 per item up to a maximum of $500 under this plan, and $100 per day up to a maximum of $500 for baggage delay. Additional protections include options to add $35,000 of rental car coverage (approx. $7/day) and insuring sports and golf equipment rentals of $2,500 per item up to a maximum of $5,000. Cancel for Any Reason or Interrupt for Any Reason can be added if purchased within 20 days of the initial trip payment or deposit and the additional required premium is paid. Trips of up to 180 days in length can be covered.
Seven Corners Travel Insurance Review: What’s Missing From Trip Protection RoundTrip Basic Travel Medical Insurance?
There are a few limitations. A Pre-Existing Medical Condition Exclusion Waiver is not available. Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) is also not included.
Cover for job termination and layoff is included in the plan. However, in the event that a previously approved work vacation period is rescinded, there is no coverage unless a Cancel For Any Reason benefit is included.
In addition to these limitations, Trip Protection RoundTrip Basic does not cover trips made to Cuba, the Syrian Arab Republic, or the Islamic Republic of Iran.
We think that the Seven Corners Trip Protection RoundTrip Basic Travel Insurance plan strikes a good balance between sensible cover for a discerning traveler, and needless additional coverage which would simply add expense. The majority of customers who will find the Basic policy useful will be travelers to Mexico, Canada or Europe who have no pre-existing medical conditions and are looking for reasonable travel insurance that will still have strong coverage.

YMT Vacations referred TripAsure vs (you) Tripinsure either the best cost.
YMT Vacations referred me to IMG thru TripAsure at a greater cost than what you Tripinsure quoted me. I told YMT to cancel the trip insurance through TripAsure that I was going to use Tripinsure who quoted me less. Both were through IMG. Katrina straightened the whole thing out and I now have the correct lower cost Trip insurance through Tripinsure. Thank you for the understanding.
